The Orkney Athletic and Running Club (OARC) Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Monday 16th March at 7pm in St. Magnus Lounge at the Pickaquoy Centre. A virtual meeting link will also be provided closer to the time for outer isles-based members and those unable to attend in person.
All members and interested parties are welcome to attend, although only club members (or people with proxy voting rights on behalf of members under 18 per the constitution) can vote on resolutions.
The AGM hears the Chair’s report on the activities of the club, appoints trustees, sets memberships fees and approves the club accounts. It’s also a good forum for discussion of any major issues facing the club. If you have any proposals you would like considered by the AGM, please email secretary@orkneyarc.org.uk by Monday 9th March to ensure they are added to the Agenda.
The format and process of the AGM is governed by the Club Constitution, which can be seen here: https://www.orkneyarc.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OARC-SCIO-Constitution-adopted-Mar-25.docx.pdf
