AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL 2026

FIVE-BARRIERS FUN-RUN

The Orkney Branch of Amnesty International is holding the annual fundraising 5 Barriers Fun-Run, to be held in the afternoon of Sunday 6th September 2026.

The run of 6.5 miles is from the Holm Football Club, across the 4 Churchill Barriers, touching base on South Ronaldsay, then returning over the 4th barrier to finish at the Sands Motel in Burray Village.

The event will start at 3.00pm to coincide with low tide.

Entrance fee: £10 per adult; £5 per child (under 15), or by fundraising sponsorship.

Entry and sponsorship forms are available from the Pickaquoy Centre and Trek and Travel in Kirkwall, the Library in Stromness, and from shops in St Margaret’s Hope.
